Tim called this morning and landscaping should be done by this weekend, floors finished Friday and Monday, final walk through on Tuesday, and closing scheduled for 11 am on Friday! Bank just called and all is set and final, now we just wait.
We're actually locked out of the house right now because when we get there in the late evening no one is there and the doors are now locked because of the appliances. But we're becoming okay with that. We're going to meet Amy there tomorrow night to take her through before everyone leaves and then I think we probably won't be in again until Tuesday and it feels like somewhat of a relief to just wait for that exciting final walk through.
We're stressed, exhausted, feeling a whole gamut of emotions and getting to the point of awe that this is truly happening!
Thanks for going along this ride with us!
As far as Saturday goes. We're planning on starting at 8 a.m. We know that means those of you who have to drive might be coming in later than that, but we want to get an early start and make it a quick move. You will be happy to know that all boxes are in the basement and the only things to go up and down stairs at the old house will be furniture. We've gotten it really organized for all of you in an attempt to make it quick and easy. We are renting a moving truck so that will also expedite the move. Jason will be taking a few workshop/garage loads over Friday afternoon and evening with two friends from school.
Doster will be at my parent's house until about noon with a babysitter and then he'll come over for lunch with us and an attempted nap in his new room. Caroline will be a part of the excitement all day, helping set up her new room.
As I type out these final plans I am teary in realizing that it is finally here. TWO years seems like a really long journey but it is so neat to see how the Lord had all of this planned just perfectly, down to the move being before a week long break for Jason from school. It has been so intricately planned despite all the planning we've tried to do....long before we started trying to plan it.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, DECLARES the Lord. Plans to prosper, not to harm you. Plans for hope and a future.
Thank you all for being such a special part of our past, present and future that the Lord has planned for us! We couldn't do it without each of you!
